22/06/2018 SAC issued 3 national standards of internet of things (Announcement No. 8-2018)

SAC issued 3 national standards on basic commonality of IoT and promulgated from 1st January 2019.

            GB/T 36468-2018 general formulation principles of system evaluation

            GB/T 36478.1-2018 information communication and sharing (part 1: basic framework)

            GB/T 36478.2-2018 information communication and sharing (part 1: General technical requirements)

Up to today, there were 7 national standards of IoT formulated totally and other 14 under study.


ETSI delegation visit in China

From 7 to 8 June 2017, an ETSI delegation, composed of DG of ETSI Mr. Luis-Jorge ROMERO,and Director of ETSI Strategy Development Department Ms. Margot DOR, had a fruitful visit to China.The delegation met with a number of strategic Chinese stakeholders, such as CAC, CESI and CCSA.

The exchanges brought a better understanding in current situation regarding the Chinese cyber-security system and IoT standardization system. The delegation also introduced to Chinese stakeholders the strategic properties of ETSI, such as cybersecurity, IoT, 5G and radio.

The Seconded European Standardization Expert in China Project (SESEC) provided support to the visit.



SESEC in the Conference of EU-China Collaboration on IoT and 5G Research

On 9 March 2017,SESEC was invited by the Exciting Project (EU-China Collaboration on 5G and IoT Research Project) to participate in the Conference of EU-China Collaboration on 5G and IoT Research.  the conference presented and showcased some of the latest development of 5G and IoT in both EU and China, discussed several EU-China S&T cooperation priorities, such as ICT, standardization, cooperation on large-scale pilots, as well as further explored potential ways towards better cooperation in these fields between both sides.

As the representative of EU standardization organizations,Dr. Betty Xu, the director of SESEC, made a keynote speech named “EU 5G and IoT Standardization”.  The speech introduced the latest development made by EU standardization organizations: ETSI, CEN, CENELEC, and provided a firm support for the following discussion on EU-China standardization cooperation.

The conference provided participants with the first-hand information of 5G and IoT development both in EU and China, as well as the platform of extensive communication and exchange between both sides, so as to lay a foundation for deep and expanded cooperation in the future.
