The 2018 EU-China Standardization Joint WG meeting was held on 04 December 2018 in Brussels, Belgium, attended by the SAC delegation and EU delegation.
The SAC delegation was headed by Mr. CUI Gang, Director General, Standards Innovation Department, SAMR/SAC. The EU delegation was headed by Mr. Joaquim Nunes de Almeida, Director of Single Market Policy, Regulation and Implementation, DG GROW, EC. The heads of the delegations co-chaired the WG meeting.
The two sides have in-depth discussions on the following topics: Update by SAMR/SAC on new organization of SAMR/SAC regarding the new structures and roles related to standardization; Information shared by EU side about EU-China “Ecodesign” work and the related standards cooperation project; discussion on new draft for comments of China “ Administrative Measures for Mandatory National Standards”; IEC & ISO standards, adopted as EU and CN standards; and CESIP platform updating.
After the meeting, the common meeting report was signed, and both parties regarded this meeting as successful and fruitful.
