SESEC V Webinar 3: China Cyber Security standardization 2022

Time and Date: 10:00 am – 11:00 am, 18 January 2023 (CET, Brussels)

Presenter: Dr. Betty XU

Language: English

With the official enforcement of Data Security Law and Personal Information Protection Law in 2021, and Cybersecurity Law in 2016, China has established its fundamental legal framework for cybersecurity. Based on those three fundamental laws, China continues to fill in the framework with a series of supporting regulations and standards for enforcement of three fundamental. Essentially, with technological development in computer science, and the rise in numbers and levels of cyber-attacks, China intends to construct a graded data protection system and mechanism for outbound data transfer. Such intention is translated into various standards and documents released in the past two years.

To help stakeholders from Europe to understand China’s actions, in this webinar, SESEC’s director Dr. Betty XU will introduce China’s Cybersecurity standardization system, which would bring a comprehensive view on the recent development of cybersecurity’s framework. Welcome to join us! Looking forward to your participation!
