Tian Shihong, China’s Vice-Minister of SAMR and Administrator of SAC, met with Silvio Dulinsky, Deputy Secretary-General of ISO, via video on June 15, 2022.
Tian introduced the institutional functions of SAC and the status quo of standardization work in China, and interpreted the National Standardization Development Outline released in October 2021 to Mr. Dulinsky. The two parties exchanged views on the issues such as the key fields of standardization work in China, openness of standards and sustainable development, and reached a consensus on further strengthening the cooperation between ISO and SAC.
China will actively fulfill the duty as an ISO permanent member, further improve the participation in international standardization activities, and make positive contribution to the sustainable development of international standardization and the effective implementation of ISO Strategy 2030, stressed Tian.
