At the 75th United Nations General Assembly on Sept 22 of 2020, China’s commitment to reach carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060 (in China it is called “the 30-60 goals” for short) is announced. Thus, the country has taken immediate actions on multiple perspectives to achieve the goals.
Standardisation is a critical and significant gripping point to support such ambitious mission. Besides the successive releases of a serial of governmental policies and guidelines, China’s throwing “one-two punch”: forming high-level working group, planning the development of standards, establish systems in key sectors (ICT etc.)
In this webinar, Dr. Betty XU will introduce China’s carbon peak and carbon neutrality standardization system, which would bring a comprehensive view on the framework, governance structure and concepts, along with relevant documents, standards and certifications.
