Artificial Intelligence (AI), as one of the core driving forces of a new round of industrial reform, has been in the priority list of China governmental authorities. In 2015, the State Council of China released the Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Advancing the “Internet Plus” Action, which includes AI as one of the key tasks for the first time, pushing China’s artificial intelligence into a new stage.
By the year of 2020, to support AI development, China has released a series policies and documents. Among those policies, Guidelines for the Construction of the National New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Standard System released by Standardization Administration of China and five other ministries provides the general framework for the standardisation of AI. With the release of this document, AI standardisation activities in China are proceeded with much clearer road map.
